UNIVERSITIES ACROSS THE U.S. EMBRACE CONVERGENCE COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY BY PARTNERING WITH COLLEGE TOWN PROFILE™

ELGIN, IL (February 2009) -- After more than two decades in business, the publisher and staff of College Town Profile™ continue to reinvent the custom publishing industry with its latest innovation that brings the traditional campus/community profile from the dorm room desk to computer desktops across campus and worldwide by converting full-color print publications into a digital version online and on CD, through its Traditional-to-Digital™ Convergence Publishing Program®.

An ever-increasing number of colleges and universities are partnering with College Town Profile™ to produce these technologically advanced campus/community profiles, which incur no cost to the sponsoring institution.

Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, whose premier campus/community profile was published in 2007, will be working with College Town Profile™ once again to produce a second edition. Also published in 2007, the University of Missouri's campus/community profile made its way into the hands of Mizzou students, staff and potential enrollees.

Throughout 2008, College Town Profile™ published first-edition campus/community profiles for Case Western Reserve University of Ohio, University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and California State University-Fresno.

"Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi was happy to collaborate with College Town Profile™ to create an outstanding publication both for our on-campus constituents as well as members of our community," said Z. Paul Reynolds, M.S. Ed., Assistant Director for the University Center and Student Activities at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Kansas State University ushered in 2009, its dynamic magazine appearing in print in January. Just off the presses is the campus/community profile for the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Advertising sales will soon be in full force for upcoming projects with East Tennessee State University and Auburn University in Alabama. Several other institutions have expressed an interest in a partnership with College Town Profile™, with inquiries cascading in daily.

The Campus Compass and Fresno/Clovis Community Guide College Town Profile™ produced for Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) at California State University, Fresno was so well received that the university has signed on for three more editions.

Tara Powers-Mead, MPH, CHES and Director of University Affairs at California State University-Fresno, said, “The final product captured an edgy attitude and creative look that would attract not only students but community members as well.”

College Town Profile™ has raised the bar in higher education publishing by introducing free dowloadable eBooks and providing 24/7 wireless access to university directories and publication advertisers by means of cell phones, smart phones and most other mobile devices through the College Town Profile™ mobile portal at www.vpmobile.us.

The College Town Profile™ new Mobile Map Publishing Program™ provides advertisers with wireless links to their websites, business locator maps, and real-time direct dial-up via cell and smart phones. The university gets wireless links to its university directory and campus locator maps.
